Black Widow Sting - Polished
« on: April 16, 2011, 09:46:14 AM »
Just wondering if anyone has polished their Black Widow Sting, and if it's a wise thing to do. I'd like the ball to push a little farther down the lane and thought a coat of polish might do, but I don't want to "break" anything.

It "works."  I have mine at 4000+polish right now.  It'll push further like you want it to, but one thing to be aware of is that polish will bring out the angular characteristic the ball has at the breakpoint.

Another question about this ball. Is it a hybrid cover? Visually, it LOOKS like a hybrid (blue pearl, black solid), but, of course, looks can be deceiving in terms of determining the actual content. I was just curious.
