Hammer ball to use on short patterns....
« on: May 29, 2011, 11:37:20 AM »
Well my last 3 attempts on Cheetah and Stockholm, I reallized I suck on the short patterns, or the balls I have aren't matching up well..

A wihile back I went to the Brunswick balls, due to my ball driller is a staffer, so figured easier to find the gap balls.

I gave my dad my Midnight Vibe, my other buddy my Cherry Vibe before that.    I had never bowling on the short sport shots with those,  I had both pin high over ring, due to a hold relasese that made me rev dominate,   I've snce gone more behind the ball, catching it at the bottom, bringing my track up to med-high.  Those ball,s both had fairly strong backends on the dry lanes.. but were still fairly predictable.  I know my dad has bowled 5 750's since he got my ball 4 months ago..  (kick myself everyday, I thought the damage would be a substitute, but it's over under for me...  pin over bridge...can't remmebert the exact abgles.

So Hammer guys what is the choice for the shorts..   Got another couple of tournaments comeing up I need to prepare for.

Hey guys,

I went with the Blue Hammer..  stacked, pin up, I tried it on the house shot, as the short pattern won't be back up until Tuesday...  I had forgotten how smooth this ball was, it was the first hammer ball I had ever gotten 20 years ago..

I think it will work ok, trying playing it up 10 on the shot tonight.. and would just come up just short of the head pin, I put it out on 5, and it smoked the 2, so I have a feeling it will be the right thing for short stuff. bit more backend..  I'll let you guys know how it goes, I may go over tomorrow and roll it on some burned up lanes and see how she goes.

Thanks for all the good thoughts
