It's a mild reactive shell and a high RG core that will flare a couple of inches. On older surfaces and medium-dry to dry conditons you can "hook the lane" with this ball, but on anything fresh or heavier volume synthetics it will skate. It makes a decent control ball on sports shots when the finish is matte or sheen. Because of its core design, this ball wants to go loooong, and can get you into trouble with pocket 7-10's and an occasional 4-9. When the match-up is right, you can shoot huge numbers, but when it's not there you have to bag it or you will die of frustration. The trick to using this ball effectively is to keep it as straight as possible. The carry percentage is inverseley proportional to the number of boards covered. If you have a shot where you can just run it up the track area, you will kill them with this ball.
Lastly, I LOVED this ball in the 16# weight. I'm not so thrilled at 15#. That may be me. If I EVER start throwing the ball decent again I will be able to make a better comparison.
