Hammer Black Widow Ghost Pearl and Black Widow Spare
« on: October 12, 2021, 04:30:36 PM »

Well, call me impressed. First thing when I thought when I saw this was "dammit, overseas again!".. But no, they are catalog balls, and as such, coming stateside. WWRD of 11/9/21.

If I didn't already have a BW Platinum Silver, I'd jump all over that Ghost Pearl, though it would put me on the bubble for the Obsession Tour Pearl, as there would be overlap...

But that BW Spare is catching my eye, as we finally have Spare ball with core again. Last we saw that was with the True Blood, that was polyester with First Blood Core. That one I may pick up.

I'm running out of room in my bag, let alone having so many spiders!  ;D

They have done two Widow Spare balls in the US with the gas mask core since the Cold series.

Was disappointed in the "new" releases. Does make it easier to save money going into the holidays as a plus.

$120 for a polyester ball with a dynamic weight block?  No thanks.

I can get a poly asymm from Pyramid for $79.99.

Just making the point that there are more cost effective options for asymmetrical polyester bowling balls.

I just bought a crystal white Mix for $59.99!

And it works just as well. Looks great too!

Love the orange/white/black one. Turns out they did the same colors on a regular plastic ball overseas. Would love to have one in those colors. The white columbia plastic ball is definitely my second favorite behind that one.

The down side to me with the viz-a-ball option is the surface. I lightly sand my plastic before drilling and then periodically touch it up to keep it from being too slick for spares. Viz-a-balls dont do surface lol.
