Infection vs Infection (Orange pin)
« on: March 08, 2011, 12:08:42 PM »
Both are on the approved list.  Infection for Jan 11 and Orange pin for Feb 11.

What's the difference?

TE maybe?

Be good, or be good at it.
…… you can't  add a physics term to a bowling term and expect it to mean something.

I asked BuddiesProShop.com and they responded. . .
"They are international balls with a different surface prep,
other than surface they are identical."

I won't doubt anything that Buddies says, but that seems a little unlikely.

If surface was the only difference, why would they need to get USBC approval for 2 different balls?   That's twice as many balls to submit for testing than is really needed.  Seems to me that USBC takes all balls submitted for approval down to a specified grit before they do whatever testing they need to do.

Unless this is to simplify things for the factory and warehouse workers.

Think about it - it would be like Hammer getting approval for a Black Widow at 2000 grit, and another approval for one at 4000 grit.
