Title: Hammer Vicious Particle

I just purchased my wife a Vicious Particle and I was wondering if anyone knew what the box surface was.  I have emailed Hammer a couple of times and phoned once to no avail.  All I have been able to find is 'matte' finish.  Since this is an older ball hammers website doesn't list it anymore.  Any help would be appreciated.
