Big Deal and High Rev first thoughts
« on: February 10, 2005, 12:22:09 PM »
I just drilled up the High Rev and the Big Deal.  The High Rev is a medium arcing smooth overall ball, looks like a benchmark type ball.  The Big Deal has similiar length to the Real Deal, but more kick at the breakpoint.  These two balls will help move Hammer into one of the top spots.

I will be posting my review on these in another couple of days.  I am going to be doing some testing tomorrow and Saturday.

High Rev looks smooth, definently interested in picking one up, and you can't go wrong with that color

Bill:  are you saying that the Big Deal is a stronger ball than the Real Deal?? If so, is it all in the back end? Thanks

I have my High Rev drilled 3 3/8" by 3 3/8".  The ball flares pretty good, and is a mid lane rolling ball. It isn't hard to control for me.

As for the Big Deal, I would say that it gets similiar length, and has more backend than the Real Deal.

I can't wait to be able to use both of these ball in competition.

Isn't a 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" the most unstable drill, putting the core in the most unstable position?  This would (or should) definitely create A LOT of flare, but having the core in that unstable position makes it hard to believe that you're not getting a lot of over/under reactions.  I guess the lower RG core helps it rev up better and be more controllable.

Clemson 300 I agree.  3 3/8 and it's early flare is often less jumpy than a 4 3/4 X 5 for me!

I still can't picture a ball with the Vicious core being smooth unless the ball is dull!

The High Rev is a very easy-to-control, smooth rolling ball. It's very easy to use, and when you polish the ball it brings out the dynamics of the ball.

Don't have the Big Deal yet, but I'm excited about it after I see all the good reviews of the ball.
