Corner dead
« on: April 20, 2010, 01:15:42 PM »
Am I the only bowler that has found that their corner is dead after about 90 games.  I have tried the hook again treatment, hot water bath, and even resurfacing with a 500, 500, 500, 500, 4000 method.

There was a few bowlers who have had a similar experience.  I have cleaned this ball every time I used it with Motiv ball gel.  So I wonder did anyone else experience this.

90 games is alot on one ball... With balls with the oil absorbtion in todays time, you cant expect anything more than that. If you want a longer lasting ball then dont buy a high performance hook monster, period.

You stated it was dead...? Well why not use it for broken down lanes? Sure the ball may not hook near as much as the day u bought it but dont go saying its dead, because I just dont believe that. John

You could try taking it to your pro shop and have them bake the oil out. 90 games is a lot of oil and sometimes hot water bath won't get all the oil out. I know from experence my Black Widow Bite had over 120 games and I gave it the hot water bath and it still had oil in the pores. I took it and got it baked at my pro shop and it took 6 hours but they got the oil out and it was just like brand new when I got it back. I hope this helps.

90 games is not a lot on a ball in general, although it is a lot of game sto go between getting it rejuvenated at the pro shop.
