The Sting
« on: August 27, 2009, 09:24:11 AM »
I don't see anyone talking about the Sting.....

It should be a great ball and a decent seller....

However it gets lost on the shelf....

That blue on blue logo just does not stand out.....

Boy I'm sure glad my dist. still has Bites.......

its funny you mention this as I was just about to start a STING thread...

so who here has/had the STING and can you elaborate on how you feel about it and whats its best on.

Last's months BTM mag gave it a "9.5/9.5/9.5" all the way across, a very good rating if I do say so myself

Has the ball died on you yet?, for those of you that maintenance it, and how is it for taking cover adjustments?

It seems like a very powerful ball for playing on a nice med-oil shot!!

Thanks, Jake

I just picked up a sting this week. So far I like the reaction of it. It is great for medium to medium heavy oil. I only have about 10 games on it so I haven't had a chance to play with the cover yet. I think the reason that we have not heard much about this ball is because there is so much hype about the Jigsaw.

JLS,

The Sting is probably going to be the most overlooked ball on the shelf. Very decent ball reaction, really aggressive and a lot of backend to boot. I've drilled about 4 or 5 of them thus far and not including the one I have drilled for myself either. I definitely like Hammer's line up for the fall right now. It seems like all the pieces fit. God Bless!

Ive got one on the way as we speak, was going to get the jigsaw and got talked out of it because the need for tons of oil.  Ive loved the widow line w/ the exception of the venom.  So im anxious to get this ball in my hands and see how she rolls

JLS,

Glad to see you are having luck with the Bites still...we did not do so well with those but I think the Sting will more than make up the difference for us.

We sold a lot of Black Widow Pearls to women but ive drilled for all guys so far...hopefully with our demo days coming up we can get a few more into our league bowlers' hands.

God Bless!
