black widow orange/black ??????
« on: September 22, 2006, 05:56:47 AM »
I just noticed this ball was approved this month along with an ebonite smashtime pearl.  I assume these are released state side.  Anyone heard anything about them?

Something coming in the next few months that will make you know what the word sideways means, but something coming from another ball company that is even more sideways stay tuned the word backend reaction is going to get a whole new meaning.

How much back end does one need?  I feel that a consistant ball roll on the back end is a lot more important.

Of course you want some good movement on the back end but too much is not a good thing.

I'm still trying to figure out my BW.  I feel it's a good ball but I need a different layout on it.  The layout I have is just not cutting it.

Have you tried 2000 abralon yet chitown??? Or another good method is 1000 abralon with brunswick high gloss polish on high speed with lots of water. Put some teeth below the polish works like a charm, i helped my friend brickguy221 save a good ball from being sold.

Btw i just am saying it funny to see what these new covers are able to achieve reaction wise, my sources tell me the covers coming over the next few years make today's covers look stupid. Better for all who knows most do not need more hook help, i do myself but it limits even a guy like me needing more hook.

ps-brunswick high gloss is gritless that is why i recommend this method!!

See i'm bowling on a long tough pattern at league.  The pattern will change in two weeks but for now I may just dull it to 1000 grit and see how it works.

Last week on this pattern my Pain kicked butt.  In box condition the Pain can handle a little more oil than the BW.

The great thing about my league is we don't bowl on any blocked great walls of China.  Each pattern is tough.  So I get to really see how well these balls work without the help from the lane.  Since league started two weeks ago we have bowled on a long 42 to 46' pattern.

From the 7 board to the gutter is oiled to 46' with heavy oil.  The there is med heavy from the 8 board in oiled to 42'.  It is just a tough shot.  However the Pain kicked butt until the transition came.  Then things went south for me.

Well on this pattern my BW just slid too long so taken the cover down should work a lot better.

I think a pear particle widow would be perfect.then I could use the black widow for med-heavy.as for transition on tough pattern,my big rig worked really good on the third game on my tough shot.straight down 15 skidding about 45' than a quick flip in the pocket and carried well.

Received news from a insider that the black/orange is only for Asia.  They get all the good stuff.
