Aside from the obvious was there a difference between the Red and Blue urethane Hammers back in the day. Box finish appeared the same and I believe the cores were identical. Anyone with info. to confirm or deny?

Nappy....the Pink, Blue Pearl, Red Pearl, Black, Red, Blue, Purple and Burgundy Hammers all had the same cores. The only difference was the coverstock.

The dull Red fit in between the Black and dull Blue in terms of hook potential. I have the balls listed above in order from least hook to most.

My bad Nappy, the only difference that I can remember was the cover was different with the same core.  Don't remember which cover was stronger between the red and blue solids.

Not only that there was no reason for you to reply since Doug answered your question...
