Greeting Hammerheads,
Is there a difference between these two vibes, the midnight and cherry VIBE? I have been recently using my Cherry Vibe since our lanes really are not that oily and so I was wondering about the Midnight Vibe if that ball can be used above the Cherry Vibe.
And if their to similar what Hammer ball would be right above a Cherry Vibe (this is a THS shot)

My Red Backlash has the same coverstock as the Cherry Vibe but a slightly rough finish (2000 vs the Cherry's 4000 grit + polish) which kind of balances out the slightly weaker core. That said, I suspect the Midnight goes "slightly" longer with "slightly" more backend. I think the Grape Vibe would be a more distinctive step up from the Cherry. Most people feel the Grape handles closer to true medium oil, with a pretty strong backend due to the coverstock, a pearlized version of the Blue Vibe.
You can always take a Vibe down to 1500 or 2000 grit and add a light dose of polish to make it handle more oil and hook slightly more, getting a better read of the midlane. or even just take it to 4000 grit and leave it at s matte finish.

The Midnight uses the Shredder coverstock from the Burn which is one of the most aggressive coverstocks I have ever seen.
My gut feeling is that the Midnight would be significantly stronger than the Cherry.
