A good step up for someone replacing a doom? Looking for a little more hook overall, and more length. I'm thinking that or the absolut....suggestions?

Matt,
The Nail series is the replacement for the Doom ball, but I would recommend the Spike instead of the Absolut due to what you are looking for. The Absolut is much stronger overall than the Nail/Doom core is and the Spike actually gets down the lane with ease like the Doom (High RG / High Diff) and offers a nice backend motion that you might be looking for. I see the Spike about 3-4 boards stronger overall than the Titanium Nail.
If you want a stronger rolling piece, then I would recommend the Absolut which will handle a little more oil (medium-medium/heavy patterns) than the Spike and offers a big backend motion too. Both new pieces are great compliments to each other & will be a great fit in your arsenal.
Hope this helps...

Plus, the Spike has a modified Nasty core with the higher rg and higher diff. The Spike really looks like a ball that will fill a lot of voids in bowlers arsenal. I have mine on the way! Just my $.02, Bruce

I bought the Spike last night. It will be ready for pick up Monday. I debated between the Spike and Nail Titanium. My pro told me Spike would finish harder.
