Just 3 words (unless you have warp 9 ball speed)......

Too much ball......

Be careful. My buddy ordered one, and it split in half during his shipment so there may be cover issues with this piece or he got a bad batch

Doug,

If it is too much ball, what would you recommend we do with the drill?

jhutch...the Jigsaw is a big time hooking ball. The Scorpion patterns doesn't need a ball anywhere near that much ball.

If you were to drill it for the PBA patterns I'd suggest a longer pin to PAP with the cg kicked out just enough to NOT need a weighthole...this will keep the ball a bit smoother down the lane and a smoother turn on the backend.

Thanks for the reply Doug..  I believe we went with a 70 x 5" x 45..  Come to weigh it out, the CG was mismarked by 2 inches and ended up with 2 ounces negative side weight..

This is a prime example why pro shops should weigh balls for center of gravity before laying them out and drilling them. I have seen a Brunswick Maxxx Zone mismarked by like 6" taking the ball from a 1-2" pin with 1-3/4oz. topweight like the box stated to an actual 3-4" pin with around 3oz. of topweight. If the ball had been laid out using what was marked from the factory, it would've had some ridiculous static weights.

Anyways, how did everything turn out jhutch?

I contacted Hammer and they were very very prompt and professional in resolving the issue.  That is why I consider Hammer one of the top brands in the market.

Thank you very much to Jeff and everyone at Hammer Bowling and Ebonite International.

OK!  Finally got it drilled..  One heck of a ball..  Only threw it a few times on a THS and Scorpion.  Was killer on scorpion going up 5..  I will try to make a video sometime and post it, and more details on the layout, etc..

Thank you to all the help that the people at Hammer Bowling and Ebonite International provided me with on this bowling ball.  Special thanks to Jeff U.
