Two Gauntlets added to the approved list last week. The Gauntlet Attack and Gaunlet F.A. Anybody know anything about them?
-
EBI is supposed to have a few more releases in the upper lines for fall leagues. I'm not sure about either of these, I think they could just be overseas
-
Not on our new catalogues. Not at any Trade shows this week.

Hopefully one of them is a mass bias ball for house shot. Something missing from Hammer's CFI cover stock lineup on the top end.

Missing???? Gauntlet, Scandal Pearl, Scandal all have the CFI coverstock on them. All three balls have different motions that are needed for most style of bowlers...
but stay tuned in the upcoming months - prolly around Oct/Nov!

As you know only the Gauntlet has a mass bias and it is more for heavy oil than house shot. That's true in general for most brands until recently. Most asymmetrics were oilers. Hammer at least has the Dark Legend (Black Widow Gold too now) for house shot but its not CFI coverstock. Will stay tuned as Hammers and Visionary are the majority of my arsenal.

There are two diffferent BW Golds, though.. the original that came out a year and a half ago was not CFI. The second one (both of these were overseas) did have CFI. The one now released in the US also is CFI.

The Black Widow Gold outer core is CFI like most of Hammer's lineup these days but the cover stock is still regular Semtex pearl as opposed to the CFI Semtex pearl on the Scandal Pearl right? Not a big deal really and if anything it looks like the BWG back ends harder.

That's about right. The general understanding is that this is more similar to the BW Limited than the Scandal Pearl.
Plus didn't want there to be any confusion with the non-CFI variant, as it has a different cover with the same core. plus the logo is in White, not black.
I've already had to deal with some of the Storm fanboys who said that Storm did this a decade ago, but they clearly neglected the fact that Ebonite did this a decade before them with the Optyx, Columbia did it 4 years before that with the Pearl Quake, and Brunswick did it 2 years before Columbia with the Gold Rhino Pro.

At least its not quite as bad over here compared to say reddit. Yeesh Storm's PR/Marketing people live over there. That said virtually all the brands have some good and bad balls and their own cast of characters.
