Spike - Black/Blue - Release Date June 10th
« on: May 13, 2014, 02:10:38 PM »

The Spike black/blue is the newest addition to the mid performance line up. The new Spike is a bold looking, pearl reactive that will go long and finish strong on drier lane conditions. The Spike uses GTR III Pearl that was originally found on the Jet Black Taboo, but is in a pearl version for more length and stronger backend.

The Spike still features the Nasty Core shape, but we’ve upgraded it with our patent pending materials and processes in order maintain our promise of having the TOUGHEST balls in bowling.  Something we’ve heard over and over again about the Deadly Aim is that it takes down the pins with more authority than our previous products and that it even makes a louder noise at impact, we’re excited to bring those same features to the new Spike!

•The inner core is now poured with our Flex-Resin additive to create more energy recoil at impact.
•Once the core has been poured we finish it with our Ceramix Surfacing Process to create the TOUGHEST inner to outer core bond possible.
•The outer core utilizes Carbon-Fiber to increase the Compression Durability of the new Spike over 18% from the previously released Spike.

The Spike is one of the TOUGHEST balls that money can buy and we’ve backed it up with our industry leading 3 year warranty!  RELEASE DATE:  JUNE10th

The Spike Black/Blue sounds very similar to the Nail Titanium which I have and like very much. I will be interested to see the specs.

I can't wait to give this one a try. Been using the black widow nasty quite a bit on our very tough wood lane house shot. This should get me even further down the lane.

Good looking ball to boot!

Seems to be a feasible option for drier lanes. Interested to see how will it handles the lanes after the pattern has broken down over the course of a few games.

Wish they would come out with another pearl with the Vibe core.  Low rg plus tame cover equals smoother reaction off the dry for me.  Cobalt Vibe is my best dry lane and flat pattern, strong back end ball.

Agreed on this post... OR a pearlized Arson Low Flare (my wish would be a Jet Black cover on the ALF = AWESOME!!)

I'll have to keep my eye out for that, I love my low flare.

there is ball that EBI produced for the Weber State university which is supposed to be stronger than the low flare.
I have no idea what the numbers are, i had heard that the university and/or coach designed it

Greetings everyone!  I'm on the Hammer Pride Staff and this ball really moves on the back.  I used 70x5x40 Dual Layout.  The oil pattern is a THS 40 feet.  The ball needs some carry down, but my intentions was for when the lanes are burnt up and my AMP Up is too much.  This ball compliments it along with my Deadly Aim, Assassin, AMP Up, and Pink Hammer Spare ball.  The ball hits like a tank and it gets through the fronts really nice with a strong backend.  I drilled my ball for when you I'm deep inside.  Thanks Hammer for creating another awesome ball.

How does the ball compare to the Amp Up? I'm looking for something to compliment my Absolut Curve that i have with a smoother layout and i need something that i can get inside with and not burn up too much when the heads start to go
