It looks like the Epidemic has the same color scheme as my buddy's Mystery Ball, so I assume that's it.

Which if any of these new releases is the mystery ball that Hammer sent out about a month ago?  I heard the mystery ball was awesome.

The Blue Hammer is a performance urethane is an updated urethane. But it is nothing like the Pure Hammer cover. It actually reacts a little smoother and less violent than my original Nitro so it can be considered true urethane

I wonder what's the cover on the Blue like - a hard, non-porous urethane like a classic Faball Blue Hammer, or rather a more modern urethane-resin blend that offers more traction through the material properties? The fine surface grit suggests the latter - anyone knows?

Who needs urethane??  Really???   I can hook it with ANYONE...almost maybe not Belmo or Smith, but almost.   RARELY, I MEAN RARELY would I ever need urethane....

The Epidemic is the only one of the 4 that I am remotely interested in....and I'm a hammerhead.

errrr... the point of urethane isn't exactly to "hook it with anyone".

I do not have anything resembling a high rev rate. I'm only around 250rpm. The definition of a stroker. And yet even I have found use for urethane on occasion. It's about control, not minimizing hook. Sometimes urethane is a good choice on short oil where there's a violent response to friction you can't control. It's also good for when the lanes are playing exceptionally wet/dry and you can't stay out of trouble -- it lets you move right and pipe it up the friction without getting that violent snap off the dry.

I might do a Grape with a similar setup as my Cherry. My Blue Vibe is pin under ring x-hole lower positive thumb quadrant and the Cherry is pin over ring and basically stacked with the CG and no x-hole. Don't think I want a pin down pearl, but then again I'm no expert.

i agree... you drill a Blue Hammer so it doesnt hook... thats the point of Urethane.

plus watching a ball go really left to right now of day is just awful. The less boards the better, even if your a power player.

Sorry to burst your limited bubble - I do, or am at least interested in such an offering.

Dream on...
