Friggin sweet! That bullet core is really cool looking and people might get excited about it just cuz it is cool. I hope it has good specs and ends up performing.

We shall see.

Oh... Specs have been out for a little bit now, so I didn't bother adding them, but I guess I might as well.

HARDCORE HAMMER GRIND Hammer players are “Hardcore”. They love Hammers and love the fact that Hammer players are “different.”
The performance package begins with a new core, the Bullet. The unique finish of two cycles at 800 Grit Abralon, two cycles at 1000 Abralon, and then a polishing cycle on top of the Violent Reactive coverstock yields a strong ball with an F.C.C. of 16. The color, Black with Toxic Green, is sure to be noticed and the polished finish gives great shelf appeal.
Finish 4 Core 4 Cover 8 = 16 Rating
Hardcore Grind Specs:
Weight : 14# 15# 16#
RG : 2.58 2.56 2.57
Differential: .047 .045 .029 <-(Typo?)
Mass Bias: N/A N/A N/A
OUT OF BOX Ra Value = 6.5
Surface Finishing Process - 4 Stage Sanding Process
800 Abranet, 800 Abranet, 1000 Abralon, 1000 Abralon
w/ Powerhouse Factory Finish
WORLDWIDE PRODUCT RELEASE DATE 29th JUNE 2010

JIGSAW TRAP Jig Saw Trap is a very unique color, but instead of the white base color of the two earlier models, the Trap uses a new yellow powder technology to give the Jig Saw unsurpassed hook and continuation down the lane.
Finish 4 Core 7 Cover 8 = 19 Rating
Jigsaw Trap Specs:
Weight: 14# 15# 16#
RG : 2.47 2.49 2.52

Jigsaw was one of the biggest hooking bowling balls I've ever seen. The Corner was impressive from what I've seen as well. To each their own.

The new stuff looks awesome. By far the best stuff in the Ebonite family.

The Plague wins the best looking new ball award in my opinion. I think the Mutant Cell Pearl is a close second.

Also, here are the better pictures of the ball without them "shifting" on you from the Hammer Website:

And a lot of us do like the Jigsaw line. And as some who has owned every ball in the Cell range including 3 cell pearls....... the jigsaw corner is every bit as good as those balls. They all have their strong points and their weaknesses. But the Jigsaw gives me a midlane read that cells could not.

And I am really looking forward to throwing the Plague. What a great looking weight block.

I really enjoy how my Original Jigsaw reacts, it just needs some oil upfront to be effective.

idk about the idea of the trap... MORE hook??!! The Jigsaw was Virtual Gravity like and was a beast on Medium/Heavy, the Corner was stronger yet... now they are making it even stronger?? I hate to be "that guy" but when is it going to be enough built in hook?

Funny seeing how your name is "big hook" you let us know when the hook is big enough.

The name is just that... a name. If I am letting you know when we have seen enough hook then I would have said a long time ago...

If you dont want a big hook dont buy a VG or a corner, buy a tropical storm or a freeze

I think you missed the point of my post... the original jigsaw hooks a bunch on med/heavy the corner hooks more and is more usable on heavy... this Jigsaw trap is supposed to hook even more... wtf use is something that you will never be able to use on anything less than the flood... go look at the documented hate for the Invasion, this Trap will likely have the same issue.

Riiiight... once you start reading posts about how people can't get this ball to hook like it is "supposed to" because they can't find enough oil do yourself a favor and don't speak.

The Trap, is simply a Pearl of the Corner.
I dont think it's suppose to 'hook more'.
'Stronger' is the ability to turn translational energy into rotational energy faster.  Pretty much meaning how fast a ball can turn the corner.  So while the trap won't cover more boards than the Corner, or Jigsaw, it's "longer and stronger" by technical definition.

What's interesting is... This link lists the Trap as a "medium-Medium oily"
but Hammers Site lists it as "Heavy Oil"

i love Hammer's description on the Plague "its not just about winning. Its about smashing, crushing, and generally humiliating the opponent." pretty funny
