Do you own an Amp?
« on: April 14, 2014, 10:57:31 AM »
I bought my first ball, the Amp, in January after a demo.  It was suggested to me to buy a dull ball with a lot of surface.  I looked at a wall full of balls and picked out the Amp because as a kid I'd always wanted that Blue Hammer.  Anyhow, I'm fairly happy with my ball but my mind can't help but contemplate what Hammer I might want next.  So, do you own an Amp and other Hammer balls.  How do they compare, what's your favorite, when do you use which ball?

The Amp doesn't seem that popular a ball.  Any ideas why?

Oh, I'm likely to only have one ball so anything I use will need to be versatile.

I dont know your style or how the AMP is drilled
but i really like the Absolute Curve, shot 300 with it earlier in the season
has some underlying surface with polish on top of it, makes it less skid/flippy down lane
very predictable piece

Sounds like you are soon to have two balls!

In our house with good head oil we have a righty tearing it up with his AMP.

He uses it polished.
