Blue Vibe first impression.
« on: November 15, 2007, 11:33:45 PM »
I got a chance to roll the Blue Vibe last night.  I bowled on a THS after a league had bowled.  I bowled 9 games total.  I must say this ball is money!  I really like the reaction.  This ball is hard arcing and has great length and plenty of hitting power.

Why didn't I buy on of these blue vibes when they first came out?  I'm surprised that Hammer sells this ball so cheap.  This ball can perform with any high end piece on the market.  Hammer's lower end equipment seems to work very well with me.  The Raw Hammer series and now the Blue Vibe are just awesome equipment at a cheap price.

I'm very impressed with this ball so far.  I can't wait to unleash it on my league pattern this weekend.  I will see how it works on a very difficult shot.

Since you like the Blue one so well, so far, watch for the next Vibe, I bet you'll like it as well.

I also recently purchased one and I have been very impressed. Best bang for the buck I have seen in a while!

What I like about the Blue Vibe is the hard arc type reaction.  This is why I chose this Vibe over the Cherry Vibe.  From what i've seen the Cherry Vibe is skid flip and that's not really a reaction I want.  The Blue Vibe reminds me of the BW and NM in that it's more of cross between flip and arc.  Just a great ball reaction that's easy to read.

Just out of curiousity has anyone ever brought the cover down on their Blue Vibe?  If so, how does it work on heavier oil with the cover brought down.  I usually buy 2 of the same ball and adjust the cover on one of them.  I didn't do that with the Blue Vibe and don't want to touch the cover because OOB its money.  I'm just curious.

I have not taken my BV past 1500. Even at 4000 polsihed mine will handle medium oil as long as its not too long. At 2000 abralon it handled medium and carrydown much better. It didnt make the ball stronger, but it read the lane better without over reacting. How is yours drilled. I was thinking of getting another one and drilling it Rico and taking it down to 1000. But this ball is already so smooth and predictable I think it might be a waste of time.

The Blue Vibe has the same cover on it as the Hawg Wild did, a very good cover to change and it'll take heavy to a lighter side of med. Polish it and it'll be a good lighter oil ball as well. That cover is one I hope they never get rid of.

Mine is drilled pin above the bridge 5.5" from my pap, CG kicked right to almost 1oz of side and no balance hole.  This pin position is great for my game.

I have been expermenting with some different pin positions this season.  However, i've decided to go back to the pin above the bridge on all my equipment and just change the cg and or mb location and add or not add a balance hole.  I will let the covers and cores seperate the reactions.

Roger, so far so good with this ball.  The real test will be on my Sunday league which is a much more difficult pattern than your THS.  This should be the last week of the pattern we have been using, so this ball should get some play time.

It's always cool metting guys from this site.  You throw the ball very good.  I like the way your 2 BWP's rolled.  They seem to complement each other very well.  When I make a ball purchase I usally grab two of the same ball.  I like to tweak the cover on one of them and see how they compare.

I'm very happy with the Vibe.  This ball was a plesant surprise for me.  I knew it was going to have a strong arc but didn't expect it to roll that good.  Plus it hit's very hard and carry's great.  I can't wait to try it on a more difficult pattern this weekend.

Rich(duke harding) kicked my butt last week so it was my turn to return the beatn!

Your lane-game is improving, vastly.

I don't believe there's a ball out there that performs so well for so little......unless it's the Cherry Vibe, lol!

I have close to 100 games on it and it's still hooks good. My house does not put much oil on the lanes though; and I really take care of it. Still I often think about getting another one and set it up differently.
