Loving the Raw Hammer Toxic...
« on: February 28, 2008, 12:33:57 PM »
I picked this ball up from a buddy just over a month ago. He litereally had like 3 games on it.. threw a new slug in it and called it a day.

In the last month I've shot a few good 700's, a 299 (9 pin) and just tonight I shot 258-300-246 = 804. This ball rolls just awesome for me, it definitely filled a whole in my game.

Wow..Thanks for all the help!!!  Is there a way to take off the polish at home without a proshop doing it?  Or do I need to have them do it?

I'm thinking I might take that new chick from Logistics. If things go well I might be showing her my O-face. "Oh... Oh... Oh!" You know what I'm talkin' about. "Oh!"

Thanks guys...

Mine is straight out of the box. It hooks quite a bit more than I thought it would. It gets good length with decent midlane and pretty strong backend.

Also, just thought I'd throw this in there. I bowled at a house out of town tonight, first time ever being there. It has a very bad reputation for being a tough house. The high average in the house is 196. I subbed tonight and shot 638, left five 10 pins, a solid 9, and a flush 7-10 in the 10th frame the last game. Felt pretty good, everyone there thought I was really something lol.. Threw the Toxic btw.

Truthfully?  It is better to let the shop do it on a spinner.  You get a much more uniform finish than you can do at home by hand.  More uniform surface means more predictable performance.

The Toxic is personally one of the best balls I've ever owned. It's like a cheaper version of the Angular One. It reads the lanes about 2 feet sooner, but almost with the same amount of angularity and power. The Raw line is Hammers best line I think, I don't think they've made a bad ball in that line unlike the Black widow series and the joke that is the black widow pearl. Save you money on that p.o.s. and buy a toxic.
