Big Blue Spare?
« on: May 13, 2004, 02:19:40 AM »
Curious to see if any of the Hammerheads know anything about the Big Blue Spare...I would speculate that it would have the Gas Mask core as why else would Hammer but the Big Blue name on a spare ball?  However, stranger things have happened and this may turn out to be a pancake weight block.  Any info would be much appreciated!

I highly doubt it would be the gasmask core, that would be way too strong for a spare ball. Its most likely the pearl coverstock, w/ the blue coloring wrapped around a pancake weightblock.

Darn Ron, you beat me to it.
I wanted to be the one to burst the "Hammer is going to copy a failed Lane 1 ball" bubble.

Thanks for the info.   Please continue to check in on us and post.

New,
2 things....you want replies........IMO, you are wrong about Ebonite/Hammer being so terrible.  Not much else to say, other than storm dominated tour because they staff half the players out there.  Before you try to read into what I am saying, their staffers are very good!  But when you have PDW, Brian Himmler, Robert Smith, Patrick Heally, Forkel, Horan, Kretzer, Tim Mack, Shafer, etc.....you are probably going to be successful from a company standpoint.

#2, why are you so bored that you find it necessary to come to this forum and post negative stuff.  I will never forget my mom telling me as I grow up that if you cannot say something nice, dont say anything at all!

I think Mika would argue they had more than 2 victories this year....

I had wished they had placed the Gasmask core, or some other Dynamic core in the big blue spare. It would make a excellent desert ball.

New-  The reason that both companies are coming out with new balls is because they both have new product managers.

"out with the old in with the new"

I wonder how Mika feels about the Ebonite line?
I wonder how Patrick Allen feels about the Hammer line?  He led the points for a few consecutive weeks right?

Big Blue Spare-  Marketing.

Just got confirmation on a pancake weightblock for this ball.  HAmmer's lineup looks incredible now.  If I didn't get on this brunswick kick that I am on right now I'd definately would be throwing some hammer.  I've thrown the Big BLue Pearl and it is an amazing ball.

I am sure that the big blue spare will be identical to the buzzsaw xxxl. It has the gas mask core with a polyester coverstock. I am 100% sure thats what it will be like. I cant wait till this ball is released but the only bad thing is it will have BIG PRICE TAG.

Strider-  I agree wholeheartedly.   This is even more irritating to me because I am in constant contact with my "boss" the Ebonite/Hammer DSM in my area.  I "know" about Hammer balls long before many other people and then I get on here and see so much BS about Hammer products.  It is rather irritating.
