I purchased my Black Widow from another BR person. The ball had 10 games on it when I bought it and I have it drilled to go long and turn on the end. Well, to say I really like this ball is an understatement. My first five sets have been 680, 683, 687, 636 and 723 last night. I can't tell you how good this ball is. I am more of a down and in straighter is greater type bowler but I can hook the ball and open up the lanes when needed. I get real good length and then a nice hard arc into the pocket with great carry. I really like D/T equipment but I decided to try the Black Widow and I'm glad that I now have this ball in my bag. Thanks Hammer for a great ball and I look forward to trying out more Hammer equipment in the future.

Yeah, I heard that the BW was supposed to be "Ball of the Year".

Unfortunately, all the hype behind this "super" ball, made me want to try it and it definately wasn't for me (probably just because I'm a full roller.  Or another case of bad "match up")!!!

Still, the ball was not cheap and I tried two different drillings on it to try to get it to work.  For me, it was a very expensive mistake.

I think I've eventually found a match up for me.  Not a high, top level "super" ball either.  More mid range, but I've found a ball that suits me at last! It is definately NOT the Black Widow.
