Purple Vibe vs. Blue Vibe?

If anyone has thrown both of these balls, how do they compare?  Thanks.

, then I am starting to wonder why Hammer doesn't say what it is/has done.

The Toxic had an Enhanced Max-Flip Reactive coverstock with the new Traction Pearl cover and the Emerald Vibe only says Max-Flip Reactive Pearl. I know, it's a few words, but if one is to promote a cover/core/ball, then say what the cover/core/ball is/has, not just a "short version".

I know, it's a few short words, but take any reaction of a ball, add or leave out a "few short words" and that may well make or break a ball and it's sales.

To each his own, I guess.

Roger I agree with you.  They should be more clear with what the print.  I do remember Jeff Userry saying the Emerald vibe has the Toxic coverstock on it.  Basically the same coverstock that's on the DOOM with an additional pearl additive in it.

Sorry for the 'rant', I'm better now.

I threw both, the purple was longer, more snap, for me. The Blue hit harder, again for me, but the layouts were about 1/2 to 3/4 in difference pin/pap, I can't remember which.

As I said above, the Purple color and I just didn't 'click' and no matter what anyone says, if mentally one doesn't like a ball, the reaction will suffer, IMO.

I wouldn't mind picking up a Blue again, drill it a bit differently as IMO it was a stronger ball. Handle more oil, cover changed easier, but then maybe it was the color.

Given the economy, they may find out "less is none".

The Blue Vibe is the strongest of the Vibe series.

I also agree with you about color.  Certain colors can mess with you mentally.  I only use black finger inserts in all of my equipment.  I don't like seeing the grips going down the lane.  It messes with me for some reason.lol

I had a track Rule Delta 1.  It was the Blue and White one that to me was ugly and the colors made it hard for me to read what the ball was doing.  So yes, certain ball colors can have a mental effect on some bowlers.

I have a customer that will NOT...no reason, no way, no matter what the ball...will NOT buy a red ball. He had a Doom for 2 days, loved the ball but the color made him give it to his daughter. He just hates red. Good bowler, but no red ball !

Mental game is more than most realize, IMO.

As for me, insert color makes no matter. I block out that part of the ball and just see a ball, nothing else, no insert color, no slug color, just something I learned to do in one job in the Army, focus on the dime size target.
