Purples Prices on Ebay
« on: November 22, 2019, 12:05:09 AM »
Not sure if some of you have seen the prices of Purples since the transaction, but they are starting to climb pretty high. Saw one going for about $190. It will be interesting to see the difference (if any) between the old Purples and the new ones poured by Brunswick.
League: Pitch Purple, Destiny Magenta
Testing: MVP
Interests: Black Widow, Proof Solid, Idol Pearl

And from what I heard most likely they are all 16/17 releases.  Apparently the 16/17 releases were softer (72/73 on the durometer), whereas the 18/19 releases are harder.
I had my 18 release checked it was 74.  I have a 19 release NIB, going to have it checked to see if it's the same as my 18 release.

Amen....

Anything and everything is up for a topic of discussion. Still, that so much attention is given to a ball that is bad choice for the vast majority of bowlers is a head scratcher.  ???

A few Black Widow Purple Pearl Urethane balls for sale on ebay now.

Here's a link to one below.

There's one going on right now that has 34 bids on it, with the bid currently at $345. Depending on how much they spent to get it from Japan, someone is making some bank on this.

Bowlers Mart has the purple pearl widow urethane for $249.

Bowlers will buy this, but try to sell a good ball for $40 shipped and they will say: "Will you take $28 shipped for it? I can pay you 2 Fridays from now when I get paid. My wife, daughter, and mom are all in the hospital and I had to pay a lot of money out of pocket."

Then they'll ghost you when that Friday comes.

A 15# Black Widow Purple Pearl urethane went for $545.99 which included shipping on Ebay.
A 14# Black Widow Purple pearl urethane is currently approaching $300.
The only one laughing now is "bowling overstock" which is Bowlers Mart.
Supply and Demand in America.  Gotta love it!

That was the auction I was alluding to earlier and saw it as it ended. Even if bought at retail and shipped from Japan, they made bank on that!
