have not thrown both personally.....tough to throw the S.....saw both in action with comparable drills.   Troad is longer than the Cherry, with comparable reaction....just in different parts of the lane.

I have thrown both...with similar drills for me the Cherry is longer and a touch more angular than the t-road pearl in the backend...

The cherry was much stronger in the backend than advertized for me...

Thanks guys. I saw the same results. To have both balls, i think
each ball has to have a different cover prep.

I have the CV, my g/f has the T-Road Pearl

Ball stats-
CV: 5.5in pin to pap (pin over bridge).  x-hole 2inches right of thumb along pin to cg line located 6 3/4in from pin.  OOB Cover finish
Bowler-Medium/high speed and revs.

T-Road:  4in pin to pap (pin over ring finger).  cg stacked under.  No x-hole
Bowler-Medium/low speed.  Medium revs.

Shot: Broken down 2nd shift shot.  Track area around 8-10.  OOB outside 4.
Line: Down and in along 10.

In terms of overall hook, the T-Road is definitely stronger, you can play it in higher volumes of oil, whereas the Vibe needs dry boards to make a strong recovery...otherwise it just skids.

The T-road starts reading the lanes early and makes a smoother move to the pocket.  The CV reads several feet farther down the lane before making its move.  It's not snappy per se in terms of reaction, but it's definitely more angular in terms of reaction.

From what I have seen...the T-Road Pearl is a great ball (smells nice), that can probably be used on a variety of shots covering Medium to Light, the Vibe can be used as a step down.  If you plan on getting both, I would rely on a stronger layout for the T-Road and weaker one for the CV to get more of a different reaction.

From what I have noticed with Storm, they tend to have a lot of backend motion as long as you can find the dry.  This allows for most of their equipment to be played on most any "oil condition" as long as there is dry backends to bounce off of.  I've seen the aforementioned T-Road pearl played on everything from floods to dry...just adjusting the line so as to not give away too much of the pocket on heavier conditions.

The things I love about the Vibe is its ability to "hold".  No matter how dry the condition gets, this ball always seem to push to the same breakpoint I was aiming for when my other equipment starts moving too early.  Aside from that, this ball still moves strongly and carries well despite the chopped up conditions and carrydown that are normally present when this ball is thrown.
