i recently went through a death of my black widow solid.. =\ it just wont hook anymore. ive done everything that everyone has told me but still no luck. after 5 frames it just dies. SO!! im going to get something to replace it. =D but i dont want to spend all the money so thought i might try the Raw Hammer Series. i was looking at the Anger but how does it compare with the Widow Solid? also how are the Toxic and Doom? how do they compare? i had my BWS drilled pin up for length and skid/flip. which would you take from the Raw Hammer Series? Thanks!

It dies after 5 frames? Sounds like carrydown to me.
As for the Raw Series, I don't think you can go wrong. I soaked my Anger after 100 or so games and very little oil came out. I've been using my Doom almost exclusively in league the last 3 weeks.

The Anger is a completely different animal than the BWS. It's a very strong ball in the mid-lane and smooth on the back end. Of course it will flip if the back ends are dry enough! The Anger can also handle a good amount of oil with ease. I had mine at 1000 abralon and it was a beast on oil. The only draw back i've seen with the Anger is carry down. My Anger's didn't do well with carry down. However, most balls don't! I just go around it!
The Doom and Toxic are both reactive pearls. The Doom has a stronger mid-lane and strong back end. The Toxic has little mid-lane and very strong flip back end (true skid/flip ball). I personally like the Doom the best of the two but the Toxic does have it's place on the right condition!
I think the Raw Hammer Series is one of the best mid-priced series of bowling balls on the market. If your bowling in a lot of tourney's then the Doom is a very good ball to have!

so will the doom compare more towards my widow than the anger?
