Beat'n Drill Suggestions
« on: August 31, 2007, 11:43:19 AM »
Hey guys!  I usually have no problem laying out my equipment, but I wanted some opinions on how to drill my Beat'n.  I have a No Mercy setup 4 3/4 Pin to PAP with the pin above and between the fingers, and the HART in my first flare ring (left handed).  I put a decent amount of revs and speed on the ball (medium-low track with PAP measurements 4" over, 1/2 " up) and love the No Mercy, but want to set up the Beat'n to go a little longer and snap harder to solely to use in the heavy oil.  I was thinking of going 4 1/2 Pin to PAP putting the pin to the left of the ring finger, with the HART swung over to between the first and second flare rings on the ball.  If you guys have any other ideas I would appreciate it as I will probably punch it up tomorrow or Sunday and would like some help first.  Thanks!

Just put the number one drill layout. Pin next to ring, and CG kicked right of thumb.. Thats how most guys have it drilled here. Ball is amazing though.

If you have a NM allready and drill this one the same, it will go longer and snap harder anyway. So I would lay it out the same. If you want it to go a bit longer still, hit it with the shiny stuff.

i agree with bluerrpilot-the nature of the ball alone, as compared to the NM will make it go longer and snap harder with the exact same drill on it. if you love the NM with that drill, chances are, you'll love the Beat'n w/ the same drill. Let us know how it goes!

I'd agree with six pack on this one, the 4 1/2 and closer to the 3d flare ring. It will go a bit longer if you use the same drill as the NM, but I'd give it a bit of help in that matter, if I were you. Keep in mind, WE don't have to live with it if it fails what you want it to do, but that's how I'm going to set mine up, just a bit of help, I hope.

Thank you to all of you guys with the responses, I really appreciate it!  I think I am going to go 4 1/2 to PAP, with HART in the 3rd flare ring.  I am punching it up tomorrow, and hope to have the pics and the review posted shortly afterwards.  Thanks again!
