We used the Rip'D Solid on our house shot pattern (Main Street, 41') and we found the Rip'D Solid to be a tad stronger for this pattern.

We had to deep since the beginning to find a good line to the pocket. The Rip'D Solid provides a strong midlane read and a smooth and continuous motion when it hits the friction. We were able to make parallel moves to chase the oil when the ball started to hook early and the ball offered plenty of recovery even with the rough surface this ball has out of the box.

We compared the Rip'D Solid with the Rip'D and they are a great combo. We think Hammer did a great thing releasing both balls at the same time since they complement each other so well.

The Rip'D is cleaner through the front part of the lane and it has more shape down the lane than the Rip'D Solid. Once the Rip'D Solid reads the lane too early, the Rip'D will be the ball to go to open up the lane and have more recovery down the lane.

Overall, the Rip'D Solid is the strongest ball in the Hammer lineup. We feel that this ball might be too much ball for some bowlers to be used on a house shot. Low rev and speed dominant bowlers will find in the Rip'D easy revs and a consistent reaction to use on fresh house shot patterns.

The Rip'D Solid easily creates hook through the oil and it has a strong and continuous motion down the lane. This ball will be a great option for sport shot patterns and heavier oil conditions.
