Post by: BowlerKidR on February 11, 2006, 08:59:29 AM
Ill have my Road Hawg video up in about half hour (7:15 eastern time). 30 or so shots on a broked down synthetic house shot. In the mean time you can check out my High Rev video to see what i throw like, and my stats are in my profile with pics of all equipment. (FYI, my pap has changed and it isnt so high anymore)

SL33PY, this was a very borken up house shot with lots of carry down. What should suprise you is the fact that the ball actually turned the corner at all. My high rev, which is strong and early (look at other vid) wouldnt even rinkle. So thats that,

high rev did hook, not much though. 3 boards tops. And the high rev is drilled stacked for max hook. Usually the High rev is my play deep open up the lane ball, and usually is teh strongest in my arsenal. Not anymore.

Shots started off the same. High rev vid was a fresh shot. Road Hawg was full of carry down. I was able to get my x-factor to hook also, but i had to play up 5, and i dont like to do that.

to me it looked like the high rev hooked more,as the usual high rev early mid lane move and smooth backend.the road hog looks like a backend ball so maybe thats why you think it hooks more.for spoty carrydown I'll take the high rev over a backend ball.

I'm not bad,I just bowl that way.

Bowlers Touch tee shirt...which Lizzo drilled your ball? On to the video.

Nice smooth release..on one shot you lofted the ball and had more on the backend. This just shows how well the ball retains some energy as all your normal shots you lay the ball down almost at the foul line. I like the drill, close to favorite (see pics in profile)...9

Ball is not really OOB. Before i even threw the ball i had put a light coat of polish on it, then threw it. I wanted more snap so i added even more polish, but ended up going too long so i hit the ball with 1000, 2000 and 4000 and thats where it is now. Its got a slight sheen to it though.

BowlerkidR,
By the beginning of the video, i wasn't able to see the balance hole. Unless you had a very low top weight you should need a weight hole.  Check the side weight because it's rare you wouldn't need a weight hole with a 3" shift
Looks like a LI bowling center I visited.  The league shot there is ILLEGAL.  LI bowlers should be ashamed to bowl on that condition. Unreal overwall where straight and hard rule, of course there are the lefties

balance hole past your PAP and the flares don't hit the hole?  How much flare are you getting from the ball?  How close is the last flare to the hole?

I dont know...ill have to get back to you when i bowl friday...but the ball is not a flare monster...id say the total flare is maxed out aroung 5 inches.

Not wrinkling huh? I wish I could call that not wrinkling. Last week when I bowled out for league there was a flood of oil down and a good amount of carrydown from open bowling and my Hybrid Dirtybomb and V2 sanded never even lost rotation. I mean skidding about 55+ feet and covering about 1-2 boards total. I would call that not wrinkling. Not busting on ya but...

Nice vid though. Like the Road Hawg. Looks like it hits hard and covers many lines with ease. Do you have the Hawg Wild?

No i dont...i figure that the same core with just a different coverstock wouldnt be much of a difference in overall ball reaction, even though i know the Hawg Wild will cover more boards (i think)
