Sauce vs Hawgzilla vs Anger
« on: October 19, 2008, 01:06:31 PM »
Out of these three balls, which would be the best for a oiler? I know the sauce is a new ball with a new core, but how does the zilla compare. Rate these balls in order from most agressive to tamest. I can get a zilla and anger for a 4th of the cost of the sauce, is it really worth it? Thank you in advance for any help!

I think that The Sauce is a stronger ball than both the Anger & Hawg Zilla. I was not a big fan of the Hawg Zilla as it did not do what it was designed to do in my honest opinion. The Anger is strong than the Zilla was and of the 3 balls that you are interested in...

The Anger is earlier than the Sauce, but not as much backend. I have drilled my Sauce with the pin under my ring finger and the CG in the midline, and brought down the surface at 2000. I absolutely love the Sauce as it is still a little cleaner through the fronts, but stronger midlane roll with a stronger backend than the Anger. I have 3 Angers in my arsenal, and can't wait to get my hands on another Sauce to drill up. The Anger tends to roll to early at times & not finish as hard. The Sauce fills that void from the Widow line & Raw Hammer line.

You will be really impressed with the Sauce as I have helped a few fellow bowlers out in my area with this ball, and they absolutely love this ball. I feel that the Sauce will be the Ball of the Year!!

I hope that this helps a little bit!

I agree exactly with what Plowboy said.

The Anger is a bit early and tamer than the Sauce is, while the sauce is just a tad longer with a much harder movement off the spot.

The only thing I have to disagree with what Plowboy said is about the Hawg Zilla. My brother drilled is HZ 3 3/8 stacked leverage and boy did that thing move. He does not throw it anymore, but to this day he still says it's the strongest ball he's ever thrown. Maybe there's just mixed opinions about the ball, but that's mine. The Sauce and the Hawg Zilla would be an interesting comparison i'd like to see.

I have seen the zilla thrown, and it is a very strong ball, maybe it just didn't work for Plowboy, which is cool. I just want to know if the sauce is really that much stronger then the zilla!

As others are saying. I had a Hawgzilla that was drilled weak. Pin about an inch above bridge and CG in palm. It was one of the stronger balls in my bag. If it had been driled stronger it would have been a beast.

It has a great midlane read, which would be good in heavier oil. Also belivee it basically had a black widow cover on it with just the hawg core, which was rollier

The sauce I threw over the weekend was stronger than the Zilla I threw a few years back drillings were similair.  On top of that the Sauce has great continuation.

I dont know anything about the sauce but I can say this......my hawgzilla is drilled weak and it is still a beast. The hawgzilla is much more angular than the anger (which is a strong ball in its own right, just more of an arc than the hawgzilla). If the Sauce is indeed the stronger of the 3, then it must be on 'roids........LOL

ten pin: how does it act in oil, I have noticed my cell gets squirmy in very heavy oil, which is why I am getting rid of it...

For me~ Sauce-Anger-Hawgzilla.

The Anger is the best "cheap" heavy oil ball there is. The Sauce seems to have the strongest cover of all three, and the Zilla just never did impress me much compared to the other two.

But for me, the Sauce is the my new heavy oil ball, then the Anger fits under it.

Tizzle:

My Hawgzilla fits between my SCB and my Purple Vibe in the bag. Its more of a medium to medium heavy ball for my power stroker style. If you happen to remember how the Diesel Particle Solid moved then picture that with just more continuation thru the backend. The hawgzilla pretty much covers the same amount of boards as the Diesel Particle Solid with just more of it on the backend.
