The REAL DEAL... once and for all... and my thoughts
« on: January 13, 2005, 04:12:27 PM »
Is this ball a Solid Particle or a Pearl Particle... I've heard this and that and I don't know what in the world is going on. Why is there so much confusion on what this ball is???

And what are the real specs for the 15lb version... is it (RG - 2.47) and (RG Differential - .065) ???

And I just heard... from a very respectable driller who has drilled for many Regional Guys and Pro's... that the Real Deal actually hooks THROUGH the oil EVEN in the oil!!! And rolls right up in the back no matter how much oil there is! He says that it truly is the Real Deal on Heavy Oil!

And has anybody else had any success with this on Heavier Oil???

Its Solid Particle It hooks 5 board more than the Uranium Solid. Definitely heavy oil ball. Hooks More than All of my balls is number one now. 8 more board than the Ultimate Inferno

Honestly I got a lot of balls. Not kidding.

The box is labeled particle pearl.  Cut-Throat is a particle Pearl coverstock to my understanding, it just comes out of the box dull.  And yes, this thing is THE REAL DEAL in heavy oil.  I know it made my Goliath look weak with the same drilling.

Particle Pearl for Heavy Oil???

With this ball having any kind of Pearlization at all... can it really handle Heavy Oil?

Is it like other regular Particle Pearls or does it have a very small loading of Pearlization in it?

Can't the Animal and Raging Inferno handle heavy oil?  It's a particle pearl, and it doesn't even come out of box as dull as the Real Deal.  Real Deal has a stronger core BTW.

Don't you have to worry about it shining back up or losing its dullness (If I may)when using it of real heavy oil? Wouldn't solid particle stay dull longer and therefore saves you from having to manipulate the cover as often? Just a thought. Seems like the xcel (ebonite/hammer) since it is dull and has comparable specs be better?

The coverstock on the Real Deal is a sanded particle pearl while on the Xcel it's a sanded solid particle.  For your infomation, the stronger the coverstock the quicker it will absorb lane conditioner.  You will notice the lane conditoner remains on your ball longer on your weaker covers or a polished ball. On a strong dull ball the oil maybe absorbed before you bowl your next frame in league.
Go onto www.ebonite.com to compare the Xcel the Real Deal. They are not as similar as you think.  The numbers don't lie and on the 16lb and 15lb the diff is off by a few points.  On the 14lb they are off by alot.
