I am about to get my hands on a 2nd hand Sling Blade and was hoping that someone may be able to answer a few questions I have about this ball.
I am a medium speed Stroker/Low end tweener who can play either a down an in shot or a medium out and in shot (As long as there is a decent backend).
My questions are as follows:-
1) I was thinking of using this ball for medium lane conditions, would it fit the bill in its OOB condition?
2) What type of drilling have you had and what reaction did/do you get?
3) What drilling/ball surface would you recomend for me and why?
Any help would be most appreciated.

TY but would still like to hear from people with a Sling blade who bowl similar lines/speed/style (Sorry no vid available) to me (see above).
Also when I say "Medium" conditions I mean medium in terms of Length of oil, volume and backends (Some movement but not screaming backends).
If someone has a copy of a slingblade Drill sheet that they could scan and send to me,I would appreciate it enormously.

Hey, i hope i might be of some help
I have a Sling Blade drilled like this..

(the piece of tape is the CG location)
On a Medium, fresh pattern, this ball shines VERY WELL. My specs are in my profile. I'm a tweener with a little extra revs, if that makes since, lol. I throw about 16-18mph, just depends on the conditions.
For me my Sling Blade, has a very sharp backend with this layout, but at the same time, is still controllable. The ball revs up very nicely, and gets down the lane easily. I can play almost any line with this ball.
Overall the Sling Blade really shines on Medium Conditions. On Lighter Oil, it might get tough, but you will find a shot eventually. On Dry conditions, ahhh, put the ball back, lol

I just recently sold my Sling Blade that was drilled straight up label. It was definantly a Med shot ball, way to strong for light conditions if you had any revs at all. So, I would say:
1. Yes, definantly a med shot ball
2. Straight up label with CG in palm, pin over and between ring and middle finger. It went long and snapped hard on the back-end on fresh med shots.
3. I used to keep mine hit with a 4000 grit abralon pad and polished to tame it down.
Hope this helps........
