Black Widow Legend and Black Widow Assassin.
Both great balls, if you want to stay with Hammer and the Black Widows.

How close is the Legend or Assassin to the original Black Widow?

Or is the Taboo Jet Black still the closest to that ball?

Thanks for the info.

The Legend would be the one to match up to the original Widow. It's close to the original, but I would put it as better than the original Widow. As far as the JBT goes, I'd slot it underneath the Assassin, but I may be wrong there as I'm comparing overall ball motion.

From what I have seen, the Jet Black is cleaner through the fronts and a little more backend than the Assassin.  With the fact that the Assassin is a newer cover and slightly rougher on the OOB surface; it leads to a little earlier roll in the midlane and a touch smoother on the back with all other factors like lane conditions and layouts being similar.

Never owned any Black Widow prior to the Legend, but it is a great piece of equipment.  In my opinion it is the core that makes these balls good, and you can probably tweak the covers to get what you want from them.
