Is the Hot Sauce Solid just another ball?
« on: February 06, 2011, 02:23:08 AM »
I picked up one of these NIB and wanted to hear from people that have drilled them up. Are they really something special or just another ball.

Also what condition have you found it the best for? Does it hook more than the Taboo?

Any comments would be appreciated?

mine hooks more than the taboo, and pretty much any ball i've bought since. more smooth throughout and less backend compared to the taboo. i use it for the heavy oil and when i need to dry out a line.

Some of the hype was caused by the limited amount of them available. Some was caused by the fact that they were fairly inexpensive.

Mostly though people drilled them up and found a ball that hooked with the biggest and baddest other companies had to offer. Mine is the biggest in my arsenal. Stronger than my Pure Physics and TR2. Also, plenty of hit and carry.

Mine is drilled pin over and under the ring finger (can't remember the dual angle numbers) and has plenty of midland roll with great pop on the back. The guys I bowl with were so impressed by this ball that I sold 6 more of them pretty quickly.

Have fun with it.

The Hot Sauce Solids are awesome balls. They have a better finish then the original Hot Sauce. The HSS rolls early and has a continuous arc and it's good on fresh lanes with strip backends. A great ball if you want control. I have two HSS drilled pin down and pin up.
