Went to Demo days for Proshops Only,
« on: June 15, 2004, 09:43:18 AM »
I thru The Deal they should call it the Bad Deal instead of Skid/Snap this thing Skid/Squirt.IMOP this is not worth the extra money, on the other side I really enjoyed the Big Block Diesel this ball is a monster and the Swich blade is great also.

I went to Bowler City, in Hackensack, NJ.  I agree with NextLevel -
The Deal didn't seem snappy at all...could have been the shot we had
but I don't think so...Both my boss and I couldn't get it to turn the
corner hard...He has more hand than I do...

I really liked the Big Block, big hook, good midlane read.  Kind of looks
like the UI, very pleased with it....Then again I love my Diesel Reactive
Pearl, this has the same core and specs...

Switch Blade was a little stronger than the original Blade Reactive- weird
because they have the same core, just a different shell...

The other ball to steal the show was the Pure Hammer...this is gonna sell big.
Great Ball, especially for drier shots and very very smooth....

TB, I also like the Switch Blade it has the first Vicious cover which is stronger overall. I didn't try the pure hammer. I think the V2 Sweet is going to be a big seller becease it's in the V2 line and the color, I got a ton of those.

P.S where are you guys from.

Anyone know the price range on these?? The guy who drills my stuff went to the Demo in Hackensack. He loved the Big Block Diesel and the Switch Blade.

Drilled The Deal in a 5x5 Layout.  This ball is great for me when i need to square up on the harder patterns aka PBA Shots and Sport Conditions.  Hammer does say on the web-site that this is a skid/flip ball and that is exactly what this ball does.  I have bowled many tournaments where the shots were really tight and The Deal let me play a line that no one else had.

For me a great piece of equipment.

Two good, one bad.  Sounds to me like NLPS likes Hammer in general, he's just not fond of The Deal.

Finally "next level" knows what he's talking about..the Deal is a bad deal...I would look at that ball and say..."NO DEAL"...see...i'm not the only one that understands what this "small division" is producing...

NLPS, she-ab here just hates hammer and invades every post made in the forum.....I think this forum needs a mod, along with the brunswick one.

THe big block seems to be very popular, I saw a guy throw 300 with one, looked like a nice ball.  Good hooking ball.

I was talking to a well informed local pro shop guru and his biggest problem with the Deal is the amount of work that he has to do in the way of resurfacing to get a decent reaction out of the ball.

He was telling me that Hammer is using a animal fat based polish that makes the ball look glossy, but totally kills the reaction.  Due to this he'd rather recommend a comparable product that he knows he won't have to do extra work on to make his customers happy.

That may be the same polish they are using on the big Block. Hammer said they are using a 1000 grit polish but it looks more like 2000-3000 polish.

On the Deal they I heard that Hammer had a problem with Coverstock and have now corrected it.
