I bowled in a scratch tourney this weekend for the first time and I was pretty happy with my bowling except for one thing. I used the BW almost exclusively to start and after 3 games when the lanes broke down, I struggled when I had to change hand postions and target to get the ball to work. I have a BWP and I switched to that and it did not give me the look I need which is a little longer than the original BW with the same type of roll.
My question is, what would be a good ball to fit below the original BW with OOB surface when the lanes are too dry for that. A doom or maybe a BW with polish? I also have a cherry vibe, but that was not quite turning the corner.

Thanks pilot. That is why I bought the BWP but it seemed more rolly on this conditon than I wanted. The heads were pretty shot so that didn't help. I will probably try it at a couple of different places and see what happens.

I have the Doom just under the BW solid.  I have the BWpearl, but it is either too skid flippy or just too strong under the BW.  So I drilled a Doom with the pin almost under the middle finger and CG swung to the right a bit.  It goes long and still has pretty good punch into the pocket.

The Cherry Vibe hands down. That ball is very comparable to my Black Widow, but for lighter conditions. Great angle, carry, hit, you name it. My Widow and Vibe are drilled the same, and great together.
