The concept of this core is that the strongest suggested drilling is just a simple label drilling.  Layouts with normal strong layouts such as where the MB is kicked out will actually smoothout the ball motion.  I saw the ball motion and it's strong and continous.  FOLLOW the instructions and you will not be disappointed

That is against everything that I have learned about asymmetrical layout's.  So this is going to need special weak layouts to get that strong reaction?

That's why I still love symmetrical bowling balls.  Simple layouts!

I dont think it would be so different.  Maybe its just working backwards...Start strong with Label, and get weaker from there.

The balls are not even out yet. I promise you this ball will be on the approved list before they ship any of them out.. I am betting it will be on the list late this week or early next..

Good then I can "legally" throw mine tonight!!

Yep, it has holes.

I drilled it the way they said to.

Pin at 5" from Pap near ring finger.   HART is left of the thumb about 1".   CG is 3/4" from the Center of Grip.

I shall see tonight.

It's interesting how different my opinion seems to be on what a good logo is.  I am happy for you guys who like it, but I keep looking at it...

I like the Black Widow logo better, but it is a bit too huge in proportion to the ball.  This one looks kind of like Evil Boo Berry to me.

I am not saying it's bad because obviously a lot of people like it.

Afew things here.  First this type of description goes against everything I have learned about asymmetrical layouts.  I would like if someone from Hammer could chime in on this.

Next the Logo does look cool.  What line of balls is the no mercy going to be under?

I personally have trouble with asymmetrical balls.  I can't seem to get the right layout on them.  They tend to be very un predictable for me.  I got rid of the BW I had because of this.  Now i'm really skeptical about this ball because not only is it asymmetrical but it has a different set of rules for layouts.

If someone from Hammer can chime in on this it would be great to clear up any confusion.

New weight block, new drilling specs and the ball is not Assymetric.  So toss out what you know and wait until the drill sheets and info comes out.

Wow, I didnt think the technology of this ball would cause so much speculation and skepticism.  First off, it has always been warned that they would come out with a ball that went against current drilling traditions.  That ball is the No Mercy.  As we all know, technology advances every day and nothing is ever written in stone whether it be computers, or bowling balls.

The ad says that the label drill is the strongest.  So what if it has a MB, every ball has one despite how little or immesurable it is, they have one.  Maybe Hammer figured out a way to take a negatively placed MB, and use it for the better.  It sure beats having to drill out a weight hole which lowers the value of your ball should you try to sell it.

Its just like when Brunswick proved that the CG makes little difference on the ball, it went against everything that people knew and still to this day it does, but lots of people are better off with that knowledge.

Its an asymmetrical core.  Just wait until people throw it.  If it doesnt work out like advertised, then point fingers at Hammer and their R&D team.  You never know, it may turn out to be the ball of your dreams.Overall, has Hammer failed you yet?

Noy, you are not entirely correct in your observation.  Visionary has had something similar with the AMB line for quite some time.  People were scared away by the whole "anti mass bias" thing, although it makes perfect sense.  I know that the No Mercy is not the same thing, but just like with the AMB line it goes against everything that was previously assumed about MB placement.

ahh, well, thats my fault as I dont know much about visionary to begin with.  My point here is that technology advances, usually for the better.  There really is no need to start worrying about things unless you've actually bought the product already.  If it hasnt cost you anything, then it shouldnt be much cause for any concern.  Now, if you pre-ordered the ball not knowing that it would turn out the way it did, then I'd understand.  Just give the ball its time.  Hopefully whoever is able to roll it tonight (now that its legal) will give us feed back on how the ball reacts and carries.

BTW, that quote you have on Dusty Baker is classic...I hope he doesnt come back to the Giants.
