I just ordered me a Toxic today....woohoo. I currently use a Sharp Blade and love it. Any drilling suggestions??? My blade is 1" right of ring finger and no weight hole.

I had mine drilled 4 3/4 pin/pap with the pin above ring, almost centered, cg kicked 1 in right of center grip, loved the ball. Long and a hard snap, just what I wanted.

Ditto to that AZGUY. got mine drilled very similar. one of the best balls i have ever owned.

Since the sharp blade is particle and the toxic is pearl, if you drill them the same you might have a decent 1-2. The toxic will be longer and more angular. maybe even put the pin a little farther away like azguy did.

Thanks all. I think I'm going to try and get it punched similar to my Blade. That way I should be able to bowl my first three hundo with it....

Just drill it exactly the same as your Blade. The cover and core will show the difference in reaction between the balls.

Alright, just had her punched out and picked it up tonight. I had the pin 1" right of my ring finger and the cg in grip area. I cant wait. feels exactly like my other ball....except kermitfied..... Gonna attempt to knock some pins down tomorrow...I'll give opinions later tomorrow.

The TOXIC is a very strong skid/flip ball. When this ball hit's friction it just goes! Not too many balls on the market that have this high of a response to friction.

Well....I've thrown a quick 3 games with the ball. I didnt have my sharp blade with me to compare....but, it kinda reacted the same as my sharp blade. just not as much hook. Which is exactly what I was looking for. I actually made a good choice. In a weird way, I was wanting something a little different. But, extremely happy. On just a crappy lane on a Sat. I was able to control my ball and it reacted like it should have. I wish the ball hit a little harder, but still all good. I am going tomorrow to try it out on a better lane with some oil on it. We will see???
All in all...I'm very happy with the ball so far...

Ok...got a question??? When the driller (authorized hammer dealer)...drilled my ball. He told me that it doesn't matter on how you drill it. It's only fine tuning. We actually make the ball do what its going to do. Anywho... Now I have a ball that is hooking the way he drilled it. not what I wanted it to do. Doesn't hammer actually do some testing on some individuals to see if they are smart enough to drill their product?? Isnt there a check list of what it takes to be an authorized dealer?

Well he's only part correct in my mind.

First off, what kind of reaction did you want from the ball? How do you have the TOXIC laid out?

Let's say I take a length/backend layout and put that on 2 different bowling balls. I'm talking the same exact layout. Let's say the TOXIC is the first ball and the ANGER is the 2nd ball. Both of these balls have the same exact layout. Will I get the same exact reaction because of the layout? No! The ANGER is still going to show it's strong mid-lane and the TOXIC is still going to have a lot less mid-lane. See my point? Ball layouts do give a certain type of reaction but each ball has it's own characteristics.

I think that's probably what the guy is talking about when he said drill layouts are for fine tuning.

My toxic has a arc to it. I was wanting all back end. it is drilled 1-1.5 inches right of ring finger. the cg is just off center (right) of my palm. He was stating that it really isnt the ball...as much as the bowler.

Just an opinion, but I'd plug and redrill with the pin above ring/bridge but 4 1/2-5 in. Pin/Pap, just my opinion.

Mine was in that range and it was a nice long/hard snap ball, loved it.

He's partially right. Backend is mostly created by the bowler's technique.The Toxic is one of the strongest backending balls made.If yours isn't,it's either the condition or your release.The layout is a distant third in the equation.
