Hammer Balls
« on: January 04, 2005, 01:34:44 PM »
I am trying to decide between the "Real Deal" and the Big Blue Pearl.
Can any one give the good bad or the ugly on these balls. What I am looking for is a strong snap on the back end.  Thanks

good snap on back end i would suggest big blue pearl, if you want it in the nmidlane then id go with the real deal. both great balls cant go wrong with either.

Casey-  I am going to have to disagree with Lefty on this one.  The Real Deal, IS the Real Deal.   Both balls are pearl particle, but the cover is much stronger on the RD.   The RG is a little lower on the RD, but the Differential is much higher.

If you are looking for a strong snap- The Real Deal is the most angular in the hammer line right now.   I have thrown 2 BBP and now 1 RD, and there isn't much comparison.  1 of my BBP and the RD are laid out the same.  The RD is much more aggressive off of the dry.   I did hit the cover with a touch of polish.   I would suggest that to you as well.

Any questions on any of Hammer's line feel free to ask.

I have used both balls and their is no doubt the Real Deal is a much better overall ball. It will give you much more hook than the BBP and for me it carries better as well..

Go with the Real Deal, you won't be sorry..

I have to agree w/anotherWU on this one.  I also  have the BBP, but (let me say it again) the Real Deal is the real deal.  Maybe a lot of people got scared off by the Deal and the general bowler reaction to that ball, but there is no comparison between the Deal and the Real Deal IMO.  I think you'll be real happy w/the Real Deal and the reaction you get. In fact, if you throw 15# eqpt go out and get the Real Deal.  If you're not happy w/it, I've got a mint condition BBP with < 5 games on it I'll trade for the RD (I like the BBP also, but have not had time to plug this one).
(If jkiser01 doesn't put a comment down, you might send him a PM as well--he's got a RD and he loves it).
OOPS -- no sooner do I mention Jim and he already answered this post --- no, we don't get kickbacks from Hammer.....

length and strong backend reaction...definately Real Deal.  Big Blue Pearl will give you more midlane reaction.

Agreed!  Go with the stronger Real Deal, I've heard a few dissapointments from the Big Blue's.
