i have a purple vibe that is past its prime and was thinkning of replacing it with the cherry. how do these two compare to each other

Given all conditions are the same/layout/cover prep etc, the Cherry will be a bit longer but snap will be about the same.

I have all 3 Vibes, although the purple was retired due to cracking. Both the purple and cherry are drilled the same 5" pin to pap and above the bridge. The length of the cherry is a hair longer than the purple, but the backend is much stronger.

I didn't know that. Mine hasn't cracked - I must have gotten lucky or something...

It was my fault. It was in my car and I used it too soon without letting it cool down. After bowling, the next day I opened the bag and it was cracked almost all the way around.
