Vibe Set up?

will a set up of vibes work to cover all lane conditions? i have the emerald vibe drilled pin up above the fingers and cg around 45 degrees to the right. i love the reaction im getting out of it. long and shape snap. i tried my friends cherry vibe and it seems to want to arc more then my emerald, possibly because of the Max-Flip cover on the emerald. i was wondering if i were to take a cherry and a blue vibe(sanded a bit), would that make a good 3 ball set up? here are some of my specs.

Speed: 13-15MPH (Quibica Monitors)
RPM: 250-300
i release the ball at around 45 degrees.

also what drillings should i put on the balls? thanks!

I would say it would cover most.. Wouldn't cover flood.. Pin up 4.5 on cherry and pin down 4 inches with some surface on blue...along with your emerald would be nice

For typical league patterns and the occasional tourney, it would make a fine arsenal.

The Blue at 1000 grit sanded can handle more oil than one would think. Heavy oil would be the exception, but then again, how often do we really see heavy oil. So to answer your question, yes a Vibe arsenal could work(coverstock adjustments as needed) on all but the extremes.

hmm i love the cores in these balls. my friend is giving me his cherry vibe and i guess that means i only have to go get the blue one! haha. thanks guys. any more recommendations on drilling's or cover prep please let me know. nice to have more options and suggestions. thanks again everyone who replied.

no I have my cherry pin up and its still a few feet earlier than my emerald which is pin under my ring.. the emerald is also more angular.

awesome. thanks again. think im going to find me a blue vibe right now. ive also heard about a purple vibe. what does that do and where does it fall in the vibe line?

my blue handles most of the regional patterns ok...something a little earlier like a black widow for the longer patterns like shark

the purple vibe was the very first one it was released around 04-05 if i'm not mistaken.. Mine was actually similar to my cherry vibe.. read the reviews on this site they should help.. They are really hard to find now though

I would have to say yes. The emerald (at least mine) goes forever then looks like someone kicks it. The purple (box finish) would be close on length, but a little more curvy and less backend.  The red, taken to 4000 or 2000 without polish would be a good weak compliment to the blue vibe (again maybe 500 or 1000 Abralon). Heavy oil and PBA patterns would not favor these due to their reaction shape, but they should be pretty good on most house shots.

P.S. My emerald is 2000 with Track's Delayed reaction polish, and it is still longer than my purple with 4000 and Power House Extender, and Factory finish polishes. They have the exact same layout too.

Yes!

In fact, if the Blue Vibe is brought to a low enough cover grit, it will handle heavy long patterns pretty well.  I took one of my Blue Vibes down to 500 grit and it handled the long heavy patterns i've faced with ease.

Most bowling balls on the market today can be used on heavy long oil if the cover is brought to a low enough grit.

Building an entire arsenal out of vibes would make an awesome arsenal in my opinion.  However, you would need to adjust the covers on two of them to get decent separation.  

The BV is one of the best bowling balls EVER made!  I wish they still made the ball.

The bowlers journal review also found the emerald to be earlier.
