I picked up a Hammer Vicious Attack on a trade, and just wanted some feedback on the ball. It looks to be a pretty good ball, and was wondering some of your personal experiences with it. Thanks!

I traded with a fellow BR and BBE member. The reviews looks good on this. Look forward to using it in my summer league.
Any other feedback??

Mine rolls very evenly throughout the lane, never jumps off the breakpoint but I do have it dulled a little bit to read earlier...
Drilled about 4x4 pin up, get's about 3" of flare.

Check my review on this ball in the Hammer area...
I like this ball very much, although I have it at 1.500 grit and not the 800 sanded OOB. Ball is drilled pin at 4 1/2" from PAP with the MB stacked, pin 1" above ring finger hole for good length. Amazingly strong, very versatile coverstock, predictable and a hard hitter. Surprisingly sharp breakpoint for a solid ball, I expected it to be "rollier" since it was advertised for medium to heavy conditions OOB. Needs some head oil, even at 1.500 grit. Polished, this thing must be a beast!
Great ball, and IMHO looks cool. It was stronger and better than I expected.
On German Ebay a 15 lbs is currently running... although I doubt international parcel service is no issue.

Couple more weeks till summer league starts. Then I get to finally throw this thing. That along with a Solid Uranium. Should be great!

Fatboy8, it really depends on how you drill the Vicious Attack.

Just to chime in... a drilling is always specific to the bowler, his/her PAP, revs, speed, etc., and most of the ball recation is determined by surface and its prep. What does not work for one player might be the big hit fo the other.
HammerBowler has a rather low track, while I have, for exmaple, a high track. very different styles, so the ball's reaction(s) and utilty will vary. I love mine with my setup, and I rate the ball very high.

I track pretty high also. I've had luck with pin above drillings, so this one should match up pretty well. Thanks again thfonz!

A little trick we tried when hitting this type of situation....the ball reads the end of the pattern too quick or strong.
Try taking 4000 abralon to the ball, the 4000 is great as it gives the ball the push and length that a polished ball gets.....also because the actual surface of the ball is not polished (although it looks like it), it will "chill out" when reading the end of the pattern. Anytime I have had a super, lane-specific ball, I have used this trick and it works more often than not.
Just a suggestion before jumping to any conclusions and completely plug and redrill a ball that may work with you.
Surface & it's prep is about 70-80% of ball reaction.

I'd subscribe to this. Tinker with the surface first, if that does not help, only THEN think about anything else.
