Hammer Coverstock Life
« on: January 17, 2005, 10:32:55 AM »
Hello all,

I have seen and heard good things about the Real Deal and was interested in getting one drilled up for myself, but I had one concern. I have heard that Hammer and Ebonite coverstocks do not last very long (50 games?). Lasting in relation to total ball reaction. I have seen this in the past with my Hammer particle Vicious, Ebonite Apex and Big Blue. Can anyone share their knowledge with me?

Thanks in advance

Keeping your balls clean, and using the proper cleaners will make sure that the ball will not die on you.

The Real Deal is bad. Overall a great ball, just keep the upkeep on it and you won't have any problems. I added a light polish to my real deal.

i have had alot of hammer balls my big blue is stil going strong after about 200 games, my pearl reactive diesel has about 500 on it and it is still great ball. I have had no troubles with any of the hammer covers.

That is a total myth...........as long as you do the required maintenance, they will last for several seasons. I have a Hammer Diesel Particle with about 300 games on it thus far, it hooks as much now as it ever did.
