you're finish, what did you like better.the widow new is dull but the 4000 abralon on the spinner makes it shiny.maybe Hammer sands them diffrently?I've noticed my new widow also tracks up earlier.just looking to see what you guys like best.

i didnt particularly like the widow OOB.  I ended up bowling 2-3 games & shining it a bit.  Nothing major, its by no means as shiney as my doom, but it rolls SO much better for me shined.

Although, i typically hate dull balls, but ive got a morich TSA that i took to 1200 & it rolls GREAT!

Ditto.  OOB was too strong for me as well.  I'm still thinking of adding a 2nd and taking it to 1000 for heavier oil.

I have one OOB and one polished (with Ultimates Extra Length and on a spinner). They both kick major booty. My go to ball is the OOB on a fresh shot. When transition occurs and adjustments with the oob aren't enough then I go with the polished.

The key to getting 4000 grit abralon balls back to OOB sheen is to use the Abralon dry. Start will 1000 dry, go to 2000 dry, then 4000 dry. You will see what I mean afterwards. Abralon will not scratch the ball dry and IMO its the way it should be used in this case. Using the 4000 wet will make the ball shinny like you said.

I have one that is OOB except I added a nice coat of polish. Its nice but very angular at the break and I tend to leave quite a few corners with it. My 2nd one I took down to 360 abralon and then applied Rough Buff to it. The finish looks to be close to 1200 sheen. Its my favorite ball and pretty much the only one I throw right now.
