What hammer is similar to Crimson Sledge?
« on: February 10, 2006, 11:18:10 PM »
Hi, A buddy of mine is still using his sledge hammer. He wants to replace it with a ball that is very simliar and prefers to stay in the hammer line but would consider another. Is there a current ball in the hammer line that is similar? Any other manufacturer? He is a lefty and throws hard, down and in.

I'd guess the High Rev is the closest in the Hammer line since it was designed to emulate the original 3D Offset. The High Rev has a polished cover while the Sledge was less polished, but not sanded, if I recall correctly.

The Sledge had a totally different core than the Offset High Rev, if I recall correctly.

More than likely; So?
Does it have to have the exact same core to act similarly?

No, but similar RG and diff. numbers would help.
