Patrick Allen- TV ball

Anyone notice PA has a SwitchBlade in his hand with a red pin. I wonder what is different with that ball.

I kind of heard this was a new switchblade with a stronger reaction. The original didnt live up to the hype. I am sure we will find out soon enough.

Anybody know what PA was throwing on the left lane?  I couldn't tell from the telecast

New batch of switchblades.  And a big deal on the left lane.  I will agree wholeheartedly that the first batch of Switchblades weren't at all that aggressive as they were supposed to be.

Jason, any comment on the orange pin Switch Blade PA was using?  Are the assumptions correct in that Hammer is re-releasing the ball with a new coverstock?  Or is it just a different pin color, no changes?

Hadn't heard anything about it, but saw that immediately.
Will check into it.

New stuff will be availible in June.
Most likely debuted at Bowl Expo.
Some longer/stronger and some milder/smoother.
Sounds like there are going to be some more winners in the Hammer line.

Thanks Jason, I figured that it was osme kind of core/cover test ball due to the different pin color.  Its a shame I am quitting bowling, I will miss all the new stuff Hammer will be releasing.  Almost makes me want to change my mind. I do agree though, I thought the Switchblade was going to be alot more than what it really was.

i emailed Brian Graham at hammer and asked him about this "red-orange pin switch blade", i asked if it was a new cover stock, he said, And i quote "Patrick was using the Switch Blade on the right lane.  It did have an orange pin as the ball was part of a run that had the wrong color pin.  PA did inform me that he scuffed the ball a great deal by hand in order to create stronger hook motion."

I see...so all this hype about redoing the covers, is it true? Thanks for the info.

They will not be redoing the Switch Blade.
There are not any plans, that I know of, to "redo" any balls previously released.
