ESPN always blocks out the bottom of the screen with that darn banner. It is hard to see much about the ball when they do that.

BTW- Billy O is my new favorite lefty. The excitement was incredible! Good show!

yeah Angelo looked terrible.  He is a great bowler but he looked completely lost out there.  He didn't get a good look until the 10th frame when he moved left and hooked it a little bit.  But yeah, it really looked like he didn't care if he won or not.

Oatman bowled great, especially in that final match against Couch....Couch put pressure on him, and Billy responded perfectly.  I wouldn't be too surprised to see him get his first title this season.

according to the "in the bag" portion of the pba website, it was a Widow.  I assumed it was a NM due to the white logos, rather than red.

He threw the black widow(s) (I believe I saw a pin up and pin down one, and one looked shiny) and he threw the blue vibe that he started more outside with a little less speed upon review (i recheck with mah tivo)

It was kinda hard to tell because the Hammer logo was white but then I saw him turn the ball over a little and I believe I saw the red Black Widow logo. So I am guessing he was throwing a Black Widow. I saaw when he used the Toxic, that ball looks great going down the lane.

Black Widow, due to the red pin (as was mentioned) The Hammer logos on the Widow can turn white with polishing, so thats why they looked like that.

He did throw one fill ball in the 1st game with a Toxic too.

I could have sworn he was using a No Mercy in the final match. But I was wrong...it was a Black Widow. He bowled well however, especially for the first time out on TV. Hope he's back for more TV appearences this year.

Yeah, I was tricked  myself, at first thought it was the No Mercy, butthen I saw that red pin and it clicked. Billy-O is a good guy, bowled with him over the summer. He's a fun guy, likes to emjoy himself, and it showed on TV today, i've been looking for him this year, and he showed up, can't wait to see him again.

Any ball you put polish on is going to affect the logos on the ball making it look white unless you use a cleaner on it afterwards.

The ball had a red pin.  It was a widow.  I also bet that he may even have put a little white logo paint on it to make the hammer logo stand out on TV.   You could see the Hammer, but not the Widow.

Right handers struggles for the most part this week, and even last week. Brad did well after the lanes were broke down a little during matchplay. However, he didn't have enough traffic on the right side to break the lanes down. That is why he struggled. Been the story of the tour since they returned from the break.

Charles-  I wasn't there so I don't know first hand, but even Norm suggested on the show that there was plenty of time to "create" a shot, and have it hold up for 1 player.

There are a couple ways to "create" a shot-   VERY dull ball rolled out to create dry boards, or plastic rolled inside your intended strike line to create hold.

I don't know how BA could possibly have created 2 different looks on 2 lanes, so bad, that he had to throw 2 different balls, and 2 different lines.

I don't think he helped the Big B out with any sales this week.  OUCH.
