Blade Particle - how strong is the shell?
« on: September 19, 2004, 08:27:37 AM »
Hi there, I am about to purchase a used Blade Particle as a heavy oil ball, didn't have the opportunity to play it yet since it has to be plugged and drilled.  I am usually playing on a difficult 40 ft. pattern with a slick Brunswick surface and hope to get a strong particle ball to show some hook action. I tried light load particles on those lanes, e.g. a Brunswick Power Groove Proactive Plum Pearl and a Storm Eraser Particle Pearl, but only with mild success. No grip with the light particles, so I think I need a medium or heavy particle ball.

Can anybody out there tell me how the Blade particle can be classified in means of light, medium or heavy particle load? Hammer themselves do not give much helpful information, and I haven't found any info in internet archives yet.
I'd like to know if the Blade Particle has a higher particle load than those balls mentioned before, or into which general "load category" it fits, or with which other ball (either current or discontinued) it could be compared with?

Thanks for your support.
