Which hammer ball
« on: April 30, 2008, 04:04:48 AM »
Looking for a ball for medium to medium heavy house shot.  I am considiering the BW solid, Bite, No Mercy, and Anger.  Which of these balls would you all suggest more?  I have a Twisted Fury to go with it.

I throw about 16mph medium revs, perfer to play more direct and down and in to a small swing

I'd say an Anger could be a great choice for the price too. I've got one of mine pin under ring, cg kicked out right, shined up pretty good. It's an excellent down and in ball.

I've got a Black Widow Solid, pin over ring, cg kicked right, MB about 1" from the thumb, glossed with "the secret sauce", and I can play straight up the lane with it also.

Seriously, look into a Blue Vibe.  This ball is MUCH stronger than advertised, and can handle most house conditions very well.  This ball is also very versatile to cover changes, so if you need more surface for heavier oil, no problem.  Just my .02, good luck!!

They should be pretty cheap right now, since they are on closeout too. I really like the reaction of the Cherry Vibe, but haven't thrown a Blue yet.

Fatboy8, the Blue is a much stronger piece than the Cherry.  I have both, and I can tell you, my Blue Vibe comes out of my bag on heavy house blends at 1000 abralon, and I save the Cherry for medium oil shots, with the surface being at 4000 abralon w/polish.  These two balls make a great 1-2 THS punch, and my Blue works well on the Scorpion and the Cherry works well on the Cheetah.
